  • The first Polish – Lithuanian Student‘s Exchange
    The first Polish – Lithuanian Student‘s Exchange programme was held in September 2010 between Joniškis „Aušros“ gymnasium and I Liceum im. Kosciuszki in Konin, Poland.
    From 31 of August to 4 of September a group of 6 Polish students and their coordinator Agata Salzman visited Joniškis „Aušros“ gymnasim. They participated in the workshop, attended the lessons and visited the capital Vilnius, the Hill of Crosses and the city of Sun – Šiauliai.
    Afret a week from 14 to 19 of September it was the responsive visit to Poland. A group of 6 Lithuanian students with their coordinator Ingrida Jakiene visited I Liceum i nKonin. At first they participated in the workshops and in the lessons. Then they were happy to visit amazing cities Torun, Poznan annd Lichen.

  • Video conference „Informal Education in Lithuania and Poland“
    On the 15th of March in Joniškio „Aušros“ gymnasium there was organised a video conference for the first time. We are grateful to Life Long Learning Programmae Comenius Fund for a possibility to acquire the necessary equipment. Successful video link with Konin Liceum gave a chance to project participants (Headmasters and Deputy Directors from different schools) to present the structure of informal education, to analyse students‘ extra-curricular activities and occupation. As informal education is based on free choice there was presented a diversity of clubs, circles, lessons and other activities on the basis of students‘ interests, skills and competence development. The most popular clubs in our schools are sports, dancing, singing, students‘ self-government activities, young journalists‘ club. In Konin region students choose fencing and other sports, singing, dancing as well as activities promoting academic knowledge like biology experiment club. After presentations a lot of questions were asked.

  • On the 24-27th, March, 2010 a mobility visit to Konin is taking place. 9 Headmasters and Education Department specialists will share management and education experience during the spring visit. 'School Fair' is supposed to be a great surprise and valuable experience for our school leaders.

  • 2010, February Konin Liceum and Joniškis 'Aušros' gymnasium exchanged experience on national exam structure and examination tasks (English, Maths). Detailed analysis and comparision of the mentioned examination is planned during a visit to Konin.

  • On the 9th of February, 2009 Joniškis Regio project team participated in a national Regio monitoring meeting in Panevėžys.
